Hopton Hall have run the July Month of Art Competition since 2023, where artists are invited to paint en plein air amongst the roses of the stunning Italianate grounds.
Many PDA members regularly participate and we are delighted to have been invited back by Hopton Hall for our second Art in the Rose Gardens in 2026.
Eleven PDA members were exhibiting in 2026 in new custom built wooden gazebos within the grounds over the weekend of 24th-26th July.
The weekend culminates with the awards for best artworks in the Month of Art Competition, as voted for by visitors, and there is a chance to see inside the hall itself for the first time this year, to view and vote on the competition entries.
We were delighted when PDA member Roger Allen was awarded first prize in 2026. Joining previous PDA winners Lesley Linley in 2025 and Tim Rose in 2023
