Recipient of the St. Cuthbert’s Mill Award for an outstanding watercolour by the Society of Botanical Artists in 2009 and awarded a Silver – Gilt medal by the RHS in 2010, Cheryl is becoming established as a botanical artist of note.
Her paintings are an exploration of the colour, structure and form of botanical subjects; using her knowledge of drawing and understanding of watercolour her work varies from the very precise and detailed to a style which is more spontaneous in approach. Her ability to retain light and the clarity of colour which she achieves in her paintings reflect her fascination with the characteristics of watercolour, producing work which is at once technically accurate and artistically beautiful.
Cheryl works full time as a professional artist and tutor exhibiting in the U.K. She is a full member of the SBA exhibiting with them in London and in Frankfurt. She offers original paintings, limited edition giclee prints, greetings cards and workshops.
