Biography
John Parker is a fine art photographer based in Derbyshire. He studied Fine Art at Hull School Of Art and graduated in 1989 with a first class honours degree.The late photographer Jo Spence was an early supporter of his work.
John has recently exhibited at Renishaw Hall in Derbyshire. Entitled John Parker Following In The Footsteps Of John Piper, the exhibition celebrated 80 years since the highly acclaimed painter Jon Piper first visited Renishaw Hall. John has a series of photo montage pieces on display in Renishaw Hall’s current exhibition Facade, Fanfare And Fame.
A selection of his pictures are available for sale in Renishaw Hall Visitor centre and has some work on permanent display in their cafe.
John has had many images and articles published , most recently in Amateur Photographer and Black+ White Photography magazines and is currently working with the Derbyshire Historic Buildings Trust on various projects.
John specialises in Landscape and Historical Architecturetural photography and describes his work as ethereal and atmospheric.
