Thomas Petit Glass is a range of handblown/formed bowls, stoppered bottles, vases and paperweights in single vibrant colours, as well as more complex multi-layered, multi-coloured designs, depicting abstract land and seascapes. Many pieces are sandblasted to give them a matt finish similar in looks to sea glass.
Thomas grew up in East Sussex and started his glass career in London before moving to New Zealand for three years and then returning to the UK and setting up his base in Derbyshire, where he has been since 1999. He currently rents from another glassblower’s studio in Lower Lumsdale near Matlock.
*** Sadly at present, due to Covid-19 the glass studio are not allowing any Visitors in to watch or buy. There is not enough room to follow the Governments guidelines on social distancing. Once regulations are lifted, we will welcome visitors back, to view the glassblowing, peruse the gallery space and inquire about classes.
Many of the galleries i supply, have re-opened and the rest will be opening throughout July, assuming there are no further spikes or lock downs.
