Lynne Wilkinson

Lynne’s inspiration is drawn from local rolling hills, farms, animals and flowers with flamboyant use of colour and paint.

‘Lynne’s paintings are very popular, her animal portraits have an uncanny ability to engage the viewer. Regardless of subject matter, her pictures are saturated with vivid colours and created with vigorous, uninhibited brush strokes. In many of the paintings, the animals stare out of the canvas so intently that the viewer cannot help but return their gaze and, in effect, become part of the composition.’ Mike Smith – Derbyshire Life Magazine

Award winning artist, Lynne Wilkinson obtained a BA Honours Degree in Painting and Printmaking and a PGCE in teaching. Her inspiration is drawn from local rolling hills, farms, animals and flowers, capturing the spirit of the subject with flamboyant and expressive use of colour and the tactile use of paint. Her work stays fresh and honest with many elements often spilling from one painting style to another, whether painting an animal, portrait, landscape, flowers or a contemporary painting.

I am pleased to say my originals and giclee prints of my work are now finding new homes overseas, in Australia, America, Canada, France, Ireland, Norway, Scandinavia and Spain.
