Lottie Adams

I draw inspiration from contrasts in light and shade, and enjoy capturing the spirit of people and pets in portrait commissions.

Biography

Lottie is a self taught lino print artist with a background in costume making. She grew up in Bedford, and studied Costume Design and Making at the Bournemouth Arts Institute.

After graduating she based herself in London and worked as a costume maker on many films and theatre productions, later securing a job in the costume department of the Royal Shakespeare Company. Her love of the hills inspired a move to Matlock where she now carves lino and lives with her husband, one cat, two children, and three hens.

Lottie’s work is always developing. Her need to feel challenged pushes her to create ever more intricate designs or use more colour layers in each print. She is happy to consider any kind of lino print commission.
