Amadora Frogson
Amadora is a versatile artist living and working in Sheffield, who specialises in portraiture and urban paintings. Her maximalist style and use of vivid colours aims to bring uplifting energy into a space, which is a core theme across her eclectic mix of work.
Biography
Taking inspiration from the external energy and vibrancy of city life, Amadora works in acrylic to capture cityscapes; in particular iconic venues from her hometown such as The Leadmill. She is also currently expanding her portfolio to capture scenes of Manchester.
Alongside this external inspiration, she also explores the inner workings of thoughts and emotions through portraiture, and aims to capture the energy of her subjects through colour and expressive brushstrokes.
Amadora is a self-taught artist, with her artistic journey beginning in lockdown 2020. Her work is now held in many public and private collections in the UK and internationally. Amadora has recently won the 2025 Peak District Artisans Emerging Artist Award.
