August 2026 will see our 2025 Young Emerging Artist award winner Amadora Frogson, exhibiting her vibrant artwork in Ashbourne, Derbyshire.

The exhibition at Hopton Hall Gallery runs from 5th – 26th August 2026 and is open Wednesday to Sunday, 10am – 4pm. 

The gallery will be also be holding an open evening on Friday, 7th August 2026 (7pm – 9pm) where Amadora will be presented with her award and guests are invited to celebrate her vibrant, dynamic works in person. 

Amadora is a versatile artist living and working in Sheffield, who specialises in portraiture and urban paintings.

Her maximalist style and use of vivid colours aims to bring uplifting energy into a space, which is a core theme across her eclectic mix of work.

In addition to Amadora’s work, the gallery will also be showing pieces by runners-up Maya Howes (costumier) and Ayodeji Kingsley (sculptor) as part of their ‘Portrait & Human Form’ exhibition which runs at the same time
