Working from your chosen images, this one day workshop will introduce you to one colour lino cutting and printing. This is the perfect introduction to this print process or serve as a reminder for those who haven’t picked up a lino cutter for a number of years. There will be a particular focus on how you may continue to develop your skills in the context of your own home.

This is the perfect introductory workshop to one colour lino printing. You will cover how to translate an idea into a design and then learn how to cut and print your block. Particular emphasis will be placed on how you may then continue to develop this technique at your kitchen table.
Please provide the following: an apron, masking tape, tracing paper, a pencil case, 2 – 3 images of your choice at A5 and a small sketch pad. All other materials and pieces of equipment will be provided.

Sarah Morley’s latest exhibition. There are nearly 40 paintings inspired by nature which Sarah has painted over the past year. Half the paintings are inspired by The Peak District, and have also featured in Sarah’s blog about walking https://inspiringartwalkswithsarahmorley.blogspot.co.uk/. The other half of the exhibition features Sarah’s most recently paintings of Scotland.
Sarah will be at the event on Friday 18th May, 7-9pm for the ‘Meet The Artist’ session and will be there again ‘painting live’ on Saturday 9th June, 11-3.30pm and she is offering a Knife Painting Workshop on Seascapes on Saturday 23rd June, 10.30 til 3.30pm.
