Maggie Robinson has work selected for RBA Annual Exhibition

Work from Maggie Robinson’s Music of The Landscape series will be featured in three different exhibitions taking place throughout February and March

Maggie Robinson has had a busy start to the year with the exciting news that one of her pieces has been accepted to be shown as part of an exhibition at The Mall Galleries in London in addition she also has an upcoming solo exhibition, and will also be taking part in group exhibition at The Tarpey Gallery.

Maggie, a former musician, has been developing an extensive body of work entitled Music of the Landscape and this year one of the paintings, The melody that creates the harmony, ‘Opus 257’ from the series, has been accepted to be shown at the Royal Society of British Artists (RBA) Annual Exhibition at the Mall Galleries, the exhibition will take place from 21st – 31st March 2018. The Royal Society of British Artists is dedicated to promoting the highest standards in painting, sculpture, printmaking and drawing’ the exhibition seeks to exhibit works of highest standard which have been brought together in an eclectic mix of style and media.

‘A Touch of Realism’ is a Maggie’s solo exhibition and it will take in St John’s Gallery and Cafe, Ashbourne, the exhibition opens on 23rd March and will run until 14th April. She will be showing exciting new work full of colour and energy as part of her ‘Music of the Landscape’ series. In addition Maggie will also be holding a workshop at St Johns in conjunction with the exhibition on 28th March, ‘Experimenting with landscape colour’ will allow its participants to discover the joy and freedom of moving away from using a literal colour palette for landscape work, in order to produce vibrant and unusual colour combinations which are fun, creative and liberating.

Finally Maggie is one of four artists who will each be exhibiting a small collection of new work which represents their unique way of seeing and painting the landscape, the exhibition titled ‘Ways of Seeing’ will take place at The Tarpey Gallery in Castle Donnington from 10th February and runs until 11th March.
