Peak District Artisans Young Artist of the Year is open to art students in the UK aged from 16-19.
Peak District Artisans (PDA) is a highly successful association of professional fine artists, designer makers and contemporary artisans based in and around the Peak District.
Members are selected for their outstanding creative works and include up and coming as well as internationally renowned individuals. PDA represents the finest in rural and
urban creativity at its diverse best.
As working professional artists ourselves, we understand the challenges faced by young artists starting out in this field.
This competition offers the winners a unique opportunity to exhibit with us and gain a valuable insight into the life of professional artists and makers.
Up and coming talented young artists are invited to submit work on any subject matter and in any discipline - both 2D and 3D.
We are looking for work that demonstrates a unique insight and creative vision as well as skill with materials.
We are offering the opportunity to win not only the prestigious title of PDA Young Artist of the Year and a £200 cash prize
(with additional prizes of £100 for second place and £50 for third),
but also the chance to take part in our annual exhibition, The Great Dome Art Fair.

2011 Winners:
Competition was fierce. The judges were very impressed with the standard of work submitted and had a very hard time choosing the winners. in the end it was down to a mixture of technique,
imagination and creativity.
First place went to Elizabeth Henson. Second was Sarah Fletcher and Sophie Hall was third.
In addition to their cash prizes the winners exhibited their work at the Great Dome Art Fair at the end of July.
