PDA member Ingrid Karlsson-Kemp announces annual workshop programme

Ingrid Karlsson-Kemp is marking National Storytelling Week (1-8th Feb) by launching a programme of narrative-based art workshops.

Taking place at her Moorland Studio, Earl Sterndale, Ingrid Karlsson-Kemp’s workshop programme is open to anyone interested in creating their own mixed media artwork – from beginners to more advanced learners. As well as experimenting with a variety of mixed media techniques in an informal and relaxed environment, attendees will be encouraged to use their imagination and draw on their own storytelling experiences whilst benefiting from professional one-to-one tuition from Ingrid.

Speaking about her workshops, Ingrid said: “As the Society for Storytelling states, storytelling is at the root of every art form: we think in story form and make sense of our world in narrative.
“I draw on storytelling for inspiration so the aim of my workshops is to enable attendees to do the same whilst interacting with each other to form new ideas and learn new techniques.”

Beginning in April with an Introduction to Mixed Media – during which attendees will explore various techniques to create instant landscapes – Ingrid’s mixed media workshops are one of a limited number of programmes held in the Peak District throughout the year.

If you would like to take part in one of Ingrid’s workshops, please visit her website for details www.ingrid-karlsson-kemp.co.uk Lunch, refreshments are all included.
